lucky day ...

don't you just love these old button cards? ... this Luckyday button and card found it's way into my basket at a nearby antique shop ... how could I resist? ...

so what makes for a lucky day in the world of Ms. Heart? ...

a day spent in my studio with a stack of felted sweaters, a rotary cutter and my Bernina sewing machine ...

a few stolen moments with a cup of tea and my latest favorite read "The Hour I First Believed" by Wally Lamb ...

some time spent in my garden ... even if it was just prepping plants for fall ...

two sick cats taken to the vet suffering ONLY from colds ...

adding to my pile of hand-sewing ... and anticipating the finished products ... two pair of gauntlets and two "boyfriend scarves" ...

and, finally, opening the mailbox and finding a hand-written letter from my dear friend Sharon ... who, despite having a busy household and a full-time job, takes the time to write ME ...
and that's why this is a lucky day ...
